STRATEGY is at the core of every CMW Strategies project, whether it’s getting a skyscraper built, protecting businesses, protecting neighborhoods, or working on groundbreaking legislation. Strategies differ for every client but any strategy requires a high level of expertise that can only come from years of experience. Our firm’s strategic planning has resulted in major transportation and energy initiatives getting approved; significant real estate projects getting built; and multi-year funding and grants for a variety of clients, as well as the passage or defeat of relevant laws. We often work closely with top law firms, performing strategic and public relations services for corporate clients and individuals involved in complicated litigation.

COALITION BUILDING is part of an overall strategy to achieve a client’s objective. CMW Strategies often builds coalitions of various stakeholders including grassroots organizations, labor and trade groups, civic associations, community leaders and elected officials. A multitude of services are employed as part of the coalition-building process including press conferences, petitions, advertising, and overall issue-based advocacy.


COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT is often required to achieve success in New York-based projects. Our firm is familiar with the many communities that make up the five boroughs of New York City, having lived here, worked here, and interacted with the community boards and various elected and appointed community leaders over the past decades. Our community engagement expertise includes community organizing across the city for a number of clients within health care, real estate, energy and education, to name a few.


PUBLIC RELATIONS is an essential component of any campaign. Our firm employs former journalists and press secretaries who are well versed in the art of developing press strategies, pitching stories, crafting statements and press releases and representing our clients in the media. We specialize in combining online and social media tools with traditional print and television to provide every client with a press strategy tailored to their needs.
