Caroline is a Senior Government Relations Associate and joined CMW Strategies in May 2023. In her role as a Senior Associate, Caroline works with a range of clients, encompassing nonprofits in the education, arts and culture, and legal and social services sectors, as well as trade associations within the transportation, small business, and restaurant industries, alongside emerging technology and corporate clients. Her responsibilities involve addressing policy and legislative needs and advocating for budget requests. Caroline provides essential support to the team through legislative, policy, and budget research and analysis, strategic outreach efforts to elected and appointed officials, and written materials for clients including testimony, press statements, memos, op-eds, and advocacy campaign content.

Prior to joining CMW Strategies, Caroline started her career at a NYC public relations firm serving as PR counsel to clients in the tourism, hospitality, real estate, and financial sectors. This experience left Caroline with a deep understanding of the relationship between the media and public opinion and how to use both to advance public policy and elevate client profiles. Later on in her career at the PR firm, Caroline dove into government affairs consulting for economic development organizations including several of NYC’s business improvement districts (BIDs), offering valuable insights and know-how throughout the planning, outreach, and legislative phases of BID formation and expansion.

As a native Kansan, Caroline’s early experiences with the local Wichita government lead to her passion for civic engagement and educating people on the importance of policy and collective advocacy. Caroline is a member of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY)’s Young Professionals Steering Committee, working with her peers to advocate for impactful policies to shape a brighter, more inclusive future for NYC.
